Climate Gym Group 2 - focusing on Electricity! Meet Jo, Leone, George, AJ and Mary.

Who are we?

Climate Gym was started by Jo and Leone, both based in London and working in climate. Now, we’re a friendly bunch of climate enthusiasts from a wide range of backgrounds, who are all keen to dive into areas within climate. We stay in touch via a Whatsapp group.

What’s involved? Let’s take it step by step...

  1. Once every two weeks, Climate Gym members vote on what topic they’d like to dive into, based on a list of climate sources and sinks by Project Drawdown. They also give their availability to meet. Busy period at work? Don’t worry - not all members participate in all sprints, it’s up to you!
  2. Climate Gym facilitators then announce the topic, schedule the meetings, and hand pick a range of resources in that topic suited to the learning goals of the group (and recommended by previous members).
  3. We have a kick-off session to start the 2 week sprint over Zoom, introducing our group resource hub. From there, it’s up to you - you can choose whichever resource(s) you want to support your learning, and work through them in your own time over two weeks. We comment, share and review as we go.
  4. We have a quick Zoom check-in 1 week later, and then a final call at the end of the 2 weeks where we share and discuss what we learned. From here, we’ll also have a better idea of how we can help each other on our individual climate learning journeys.
  5. Loved it? Great! Get voting on the next topic, and the experience starts again...
